SABC1 Soapie Uzalo gained viewers in September

Uzalo, a popular isiZulu soapie, gained viewers between September and October.

According to BRCSA, Uzalo received 4.9 million viewers in August, and 5.1 million in September.

The results also show that Generations: The Legacy remained in second place, with 4.4 million viewers in August and 4.4 million in September.

Skeem Saam, an award-winning instructional soapie, remained in third position with 4.3 million viewers in August and 3.9 million in September.

After Wiseman Mncube and Baby Cele left, Uzalo welcomed seven new cast members in season 10.

Mnqobi Kunene, star of Outlaws, played Geja, the leader of Amabutho eNdlende and a symbol of loyalty and ambition on SABC1.

Actor Bandile Maphalala plays Hawu, a fearsome stick-fighting champion famed for his fearlessness and strength, who is constantly armed and ready for a challenge.

Vusi Mdiniso plays Sgidi, the eldest of Izinsizwa. He is driven by a desire to reclaim his family’s lost animals and gain autonomy.
Lungani Mabaso plays Phefeni, the classic problem child who is always looking for attention and is known for causing trouble.

Faith Mgobhozi, a rising star, plays Nokuthula, the virtuous leader of eNdlende’s maidens. She wants to inspire self-esteem and love in her community.

Linda Sibiya, a former Ukhozi FM presenter, appears in the soapie as himself. An indisputable radio icon joins K-Mash FM in the middle of turmoil, seeking to revitalize the station and restore it to its former grandeur.

Ntando Mncube, a former The Wife actor, plays Evangelist Sakhile Sibiya, a man dedicated to his profession who is driven by an unyielding dedication to serving others.
